Utah Football 2013: Utah 70 – 7 Weber State

For those who don’t know, Weber State is a Utah university about an hour north of Utah. In a season where some of the lower division colleges have knocked off some of the major conferences teams, Utah made a statement that they would be having none of that.

Travis Wilson passed for 241 yards. He lead his team to a 49 – 0 first half lead. I am not sure if the quarterback entered the game in the second half.

Dropping 70 points is not something easily done, even against a lower division team. This is a statement that the Utah offense is clicking and healthy. Of course, they weren’t facing a tough PAC-12 team, but after seeing this game, the PAC-12 has to take notice.

Football matters in Utah.

BYU 33 – 25 Houston ( and my experience at the game)

The first 25 minutes for BYU, it seemed the only wrong they could do was commit penalties, but it didn’t matter, ’cause they could make up for them. The rest of the game, BYU looked average at best. For the entire game, both BYU and Houston looked mistake prone. BYU seemed able to overcome the […]

Utah Football 2013: USU 52 – 20 Air Force

Utah State had to be a little nervous to play their first game as a member of the Mountain West Conference. Going against the tough and disciplined Air Force offense for their first game is often a daunting task. If the Aggies had any nerves, they didn’t show it. Chucky Keaton came out and lead […]
